Habitat For Humanity is a group which helps people build houses they desperately need while also helping to build hope in themselves and their ability to help themselves.

Since its founding in 1976, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 150,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing.

The message we created for Doctors Without Borders in 2004 was based on solidarity, access to essential medicines, forgotten wars and a tribute to MSF volunteers. These four themes included strong cases for support.

Our creative is based on facts requiring an informative approach, which support the nature of the material. We attempted to keep the material non-sensationalistic and believe this established a sense of trust with MSF donors and potential donors.

Our 6 fundraising direct mail packages (4 renewal and 2 prospective mailings) raised in excess of $3,500,000.00 versus an annual objective of $3,315,000.00.

- The cost per dollar raised was $0.29.
- Return on investment of $0.71 per dollar invested.
- We converted 2,000 donors to Partner’s Without Borders.
- 1,600 from our donor base and 400 were new acquisitions.
- Our acquisition rate was 1.6 %.

The campaign specifically created to generate this link between donors and volunteers was our best package of the year, returning $640,000 in revenue and a response rate of 19%.

In 2002, I had the opportunity to visit and dive the second largest barrier reef in the world in southern Belize led by Steve Roper. Along on this trip were several members of the Board of Directors of the World Wildlife Fund.

During the trip out, Steve explained in great detail the wonders of the barrier reef system and the need for people to respect and protect this wonderful resource of ours. He carefully explained the dive to us and led us along a remarkable visit. I happen to recall his charm when he commented on how good a diver I was. He made us all feel at ease.

His commitment to our oceans impressed me as he outlined his vision to reduce commercial fishing vessels and install moorings along the barrier reef to preserve this pristine environment, a vision I share.

I pleased that he is continuing to contribute knowledge and insight into ways others can protect our Oceans. Keep up the good work Steve.

Let’s cover the basics: emotions, not reason, sell homes. Why? In the end, every decision—to list, to sell, to buy, to call – boils down to how a decision makes a person feel. That’s why emotions are so important to your advertising.

And that’s why our campaigns have been so effective at selling our clients real estate.

But it doesn’t stop there. A well thought out campaign like the one which appeared in Opulence Magazine utilized great photography and a provocative headline but offered a specific url which offered additional information to interested parties and allowed us to track our efficiency for this magazine.

Last year we submitted a large scale re-design of the Dicom Express web site, as shown above, which was enthusiastically received by the CEO, Peter Overing and implementation was begun.

While still underway during 2007, we do look forward to seeing this online sometimes in 2008.

Dicom Express is part of the Montreal based Dicom transportation and logistics Group. In combination with GoJIT, they offer access to the most extensive privately owned ‘Rush Delivery’ network in Ontario and Quebec.

We have been creating work with Dicom since 1994.

Approximately 60 miles (100 kilometers) from Belize City lies the almost perfectly circular Blue Hole.

More than 1,000 feet (305 meters) across and some 400 feet (123 meters) deep, the hole is the opening to what was a dry cave system during the Ice Age. When the ice melted and the sea level rose, the caves were flooded, creating what is now a magnet for intrepid divers.

Today the Blue Hole is famed for its sponges, barracuda, corals, angelfish—and a school of sharks often seen patrolling the hole’s edge.

This is on my list of Top Ten Dive Spots in the World.
