Conservation
Conservation means different things to different people. I believe that everyone can do their piece but my prevailing interests have always been the ocean. I have been interested in the water since I was a child and hold a Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification from PADI, so, the basic conservation issues I write about on this site generally pertain to the ocean and it's environment, however, in recent years those interests have expanded to terrestrial conservation considerably as my scuba teaching days have taken a back seat to marketing work.
On the pages within this section, I have made efforts to add information which is of interest to me and hopefully, to you as well. Enjoy...
Marine Megafauna Foundation
The Marine Megafauna Foundation was created in 2009 to research, protect and conserve the large populations of marine megafauna found along the Mozambican coastline. 'Megafauna' are large marine species such as sharks, rays, marine mammals and turtles.
Over the past twelve months, we have worked very hard with the staff of MMF creating a brand new look and website for them. We added their fantastic expeditions, a series of photo galleries, a dedicated YouTube channel and an integrated online store.
And while this may not seem like a big step to everyone, it's a mega deal to us. Check it out here >
Craigdarroch Castle
A gift to The Castle Society supports the ongoing preservation, restoration and curatorial process. Past restoration projects include the 12-year process of removing 5 layers of institutional paint from the ceiling in the drawing room, and the recent restoration of the exterior grounds and south lawn. Future plans include work to the exterior of the castle including water-sealing the 2nd floor veranda. With your help, we can protect and preserve this extraordinary piece of Canadian heritage.

The Sanctuary is a living classroom fostering an understanding and appreciation of nature through direct experiences. Educational programs for all ages encourage responsibility for the care and protection of the natural environment. Managed by a non-profit society, this urban refuge provides an exceptional opportunity to bring people and nature together.
