Dive Travel Marketing
The dive industry is distinctive and should have online marketing that best reflects its values. To stand out in the crowded tourist marketplace, an Internet presence is vital for dive resorts and dive resorts.
In order to compete for attention in the North American dive market, small Caribbean and Central American dive properties and businesses need a company that understands dive marketing and scuba diving, a company who knows these markets well, and who also understands the corporate culture of the dive industry and the island way of thinking.
The Steve Roper Group was a leader in the development of Dive Operations in Belize in the 1990’s and was responsible for the conception and development of what is still known as the best dive shop in Belize. He was responsible for creating the first magazine on the Island of St. Martin and has been commended by the Premier of Bermuda for pro-bono work done during his two year tenure in Bermuda. We get the Island style...
Steve Roper has sat on several committees involved in Belizean whale shark research and conservation legislation for the barrier reef, including Friends of Nature, York University, The Nature Conservancy and the Galapagos Society which collectively was successful in decreasing the commercial fishing operations along the reef from 33 to 6.
He has lead dive expeditions for The World Wildlife Fund to the barrier reef during their annual Board of Directors meeting in Belize, and had the opportunity and attention of some of the world's greatest lawmakers to explain how important it was to protect the Belize barrier reefs. On another occasion, he enjoyed spending a couple of days with Steven Frink, along with Scuba Diving Magazine on whale shark excursions.
